Repair is almost always cheaper for isolated damage — a hole, a crack, water staining in one area. Full replacement only makes sense when damage is widespread or the wall has ongoing moisture issues. We'll always recommend the less expensive fix when it will hold up.

What goes over drywall before paint?

New or repaired drywall needs taping, mudding, sanding, and a coat of primer before paint goes on — skipping primer is one of the most common reasons paint jobs look patchy or fail early. We prep every surface fully before painting.

What's the best paint for interior walls in Texas homes?

A washable, low-VOC acrylic in eggshell or satin finish holds up well in most living spaces; kitchens and bathrooms do better with a semi-gloss that resists moisture. We'll recommend sheen and product based on the room.
