What's Included

Every roofing job, handled by one licensed crew

Whether you've got a single storm-damaged slope or a roof that's simply reached the end of its service life, we scope the job honestly — repair when repair is right, replace when it isn't. As a licensed general contractor we handle the whole replacement in-house, from tear-off through final inspection, rather than subbing the work out and passing along someone else's schedule. Hail moving through Plano, Frisco, McKinney and Allen accounts for a good share of the roofs we replace each year, and we work across Denton, Garland, Mesquite, Irving and Fort Worth as well.

  • Full tear-off & roof replacement
  • Shingle repair & storm/hail damage restoration
  • Free roof inspections & maintenance
  • Insurance claim documentation & adjuster walkthroughs
  • Flashing, ventilation & gutter integration
  • Permitting handled on your behalf

Frequently Asked

Roofing questions we hear most

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements in the Dallas–Fort Worth area take one to three days once materials are on site, depending on roof size, pitch, and layers being removed. We'll give you a firm timeline in your written estimate.
Do you help with insurance claims for storm or hail damage?
Yes. We document the damage with photos and a detailed inspection report you can hand directly to your insurance adjuster, and we're happy to walk the roof with your adjuster if needed.
What's the difference between a roof repair and a full replacement?
A repair addresses isolated damage — a section of missing shingles, a leak around flashing, storm damage to one slope. A full replacement is warranted when the roofing system as a whole is past its service life or the damage is widespread. We'll always recommend the less expensive option when it's the right long-term call.
What roofing materials do you install?
We install and repair asphalt shingle roofing (the most common choice in DFW), along with flashing, underlayment, ventilation, and gutter integration. Ask us about material and warranty options during your free inspection.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Texas?
Most DFW-area municipalities require a permit for a full roof replacement. As your general contractor, we handle the permitting process so you don't have to.
Are you licensed and insured for roofing work?
Yes. RGS General Contracting, LLC is a licensed, insured general contractor and a BBB Accredited Business. Every roofing crew we send to your property works under that same coverage.
